Crystal Ridge Scamble Postponed

The Crystal Ridge Scramble has been postponed due to heavy rainfall in the area. Portions of the trail are flooded or submerged and will need repair before they are runable. The race will be rescheduled, and the most likely date is August 29 – the Sunday after the Reforestation Ramble.

Whitetail Ridge Trail Run

KORC (in conjunction with Muddy Paws Racing) is excited to host the second annual White Tail Ridge Trail Run in River Falls, WI. There will be 5K and 10K trail runs for competitors of all ages and ability levels. The race is held on the same day as the Wisconsin Off-Road Series (WORS) mountain bike race at the Whitetail Ridge trailsystem in River Falls. Registration can be done online at www.wors.org/registration until midnight Monday, August 2.  The cost is $20 plus a $1 convenience fee.  Day of registration ($25/per) will start Sunday morning at 7:00 AM with a staggered start at 8:30 AM. There will be a FREE pair of Sockguy technical socks given away to each paid entrant (sizes S/M and L/XL).

Racers can expect flowing, fast hardpack singletrack; roots and rocks; short, steep downhill and uphill sections; uphill switchbacks; grassy, wide open field sections; technical climbs; and a generous amount of flowing doubletrack. This course will challenge every level of racer, and can be described as being similar to the Lowes Creek trails, in Eau Claire, with even more singletrack.
